Five gems from Sir Tim Brighouse

When I'm about to retweet something I quickly double check to make sure that I'm retweeting what I think I am. As I scrolled through the updates for #rEDNY I came across an earlier tweet from David Weston

So before retweeting I thought I'd remind myself of what's on there. Masses of terrific stuff. And six minutes of stunning good sense and insight from Sir Tim. Here's the gist of what he says, paraphrasing Judith Little, Dean of the Graduate School of Education at Berkely. You can tell it's a great school when:

  • teachers talk about teaching
  • teachers observe one another's practice (not the same as being observed)
  • plan, organise and evaluate work together
  • teachers teach each other

So that's four. To find out the fifth gem for ensuring what we do is 'low effort, high impact' watch him.
